The Board approved the Administration's student transfer status for district schools for the 2007-08 school year.
District schools have been designated as
(a) open for a specified number of student transfers;
(b) regular transfer status following policy and regulations;
(c) closed to all new transfers except children of district employees, following FDB (LOCAL); or
(d) closed (N) to all new transfers. The superintendent or designee may make an exception for extenuating circumstances, as authorized by Board Policy FDB (Local).

Parents must submit a completed transfer aplication to the school or the Office of Student Transfers, 22602 Hempstead Hwy., Cypress, TX
77429 along with a $25 transfer fee between April 10 and May 10, 2007.
Students may select an open campus for a variety of reasons including
personal preference. The Office of Student Transfers will review
applications and notify parents by May 17, 2007. After May 10, 2007, any transfer request to an open campus will follow regular transfer policy subject to principal approval.
Schools Following "REGULAR" Transfer Regulations
These schools will follow regular transfer regulations whereby the application goes to the school principals who approve or deny the transfer request based on factors such as day care needs (elementary only), extenuating circumstances, and the availability of space on the campus. Students requesting to renew a transfer will follow regular transfer policy and are subject the the principal's approval. Existing transfer students are required to comlete a transfer form obtained from the school's registrar's office and must be submitted to the principal no later than May 17, 2007.

Schools "CLOSED" for Transfers
These schools will be closed to all new transfers, except children of employees, following Board Policy FDB (Local). Existing transfer students are required to complete a transfer form obtained from the school's registrar's office and must be submitted to the principal no later than May 17, 2007. The student may continue to attend unless the student no longer has a day care provider in the school's attendance zone (for elementary day care transfers only) or the student has demonstrated attendance or behavioral problems.
