Cypress-Fairbanks ISD's total tax rate (maintenance/operation and
interest/sinking) has one of the lowest financial impacts on taxpayers in the
Houston area. The state grants a $15,000 homestead exemption. The district
grants an additional 20-percent Homestead Exemption, so actual tax dollars
assessed are lower than all school districts in the area except Houston ISD.
