The Prekindergarten program will provide a preschool experience for children who speak another language or who are unable to attend a private preschool due to low economic income.

The program will provide an oral language emphasis through active hands-on teaching methods. The children will learn prereadiness concepts through group time and center time as they rotate among creative dramatics, art, manipulatives, language arts, blocks, science, and listening centers. This early experience of a high-quality preschool should help children avoid the downward spiral of academic failure and inevitable dropout and produce greater gains in education, employment and social responsibility.
