The Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. Audiology Department offers comprehensive services to those students in the district who have hearing loss and qualify as "Auditorily Impaired", as well as to those students who are identified as having an auditory processing disorder. The definition of Auditorily Impaired (Al) according to Texas Education Agency guidelines is as follows: 'Auditorily impaired students' are students whose hearing is so impaired that they cannot be adequately educated in the regular classes of the public schools without the provision of special services.
