Eat Healthy!
- Start your day with breakfast.
- Have cut up fruits and vegetables at home and easily accessible for a healthy after-school snack.
- Cook a healthy meal with your kids.
- Try to eat more dark green leafy vegetables, like spinach, that have cancer fighting phytochemicals.
- Drink at least eight 8-oz glasses of water each day.
- Replace refined grains with whole grains, like whole wheat bread, pasta and whole grain cereals.
- Enjoy more fruits and vegetables and save money at the same time! Try to buy them in season.
Get Moving!
- Play outside with your children.
- Dance with your kids to fun, crazy music.
- Limit TV to one hour a day and replace that time with arts and crafts.
- Take a nature walk and make a collage or wreathe from the things you find.
- Ride your bikes.
- Fly a kite.
