Just a bit of news from the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Insurance Department November 13, 2009
By Request, the Enrollment Period for the TRS Group Long Term Care Insurance Program has been Extended.
As some employees were unable to apply for this benefit before the deadline, TRS and Genworth Life Insurance Company, the insurer of the Long Term Care Insurance, have extended the enrollment deadline to December 15.
The district’s Insurance Department web page at: http://www.cfisd.net/dept2/insur/egmi.htm can provide you with more information about this coverage. It includes some general information about long term care insurance, as well as a 30 minute LTC video, and direct access to the TRS dedicated website where you can apply online.
Through December 15, there may be limited or no medical underwriting depending on the applicant’s age and plan choices. This is a limited offer and will not be available each year with the same terms.
