Dear Community Supporter:

CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT and the CY-FAIR COMMUNITY have a strong working partnership designed to provide the best education possible for our students.

One part of that partnership is providing extracurricular information to support the teacher and enhance the material presented in the classroom, through a speaker’s directory. Will you share your knowledge and life’s experience with the students, for whom life thus far has been learned primarily from a book? Students love the extra attention and instruction from someone who has been there. Learning takes on a new depth and meaning when viewed through the eyes of people who have learned through real life experiences.

Your talents, skills, and life experiences are proven teaching tools and can make you a valuable member of the “Cy-Fair Teaching Team.” You can open the doors to learning through an expanded range of interests in which you have not only explored,-but have worked and lived.

This rewarding adventure into learning will take no more time than you agree to give. Presentations will be coordinated directly with the teacher desiring your help and will normally be a 45 to 50 minute class period long. Past Speakers’ Directory volunteers have found this minimal effort to be time very well spent—for both the students and the speaker.

It takes a team. YOU can be part of that team.
