The Teen Leadership classes are available in Middle School and Senior High as one-half to one elective credit. The course emphasizes leadership, personal responsibility, and business skills. Students will learn appropriate and effective techniques necessary to enhance self-concept and build healthy relationships. Students will experience the opportunity of understanding emotional intelligence through self-awareness, self-control, self-motivation, and social skills. This course provides students with a forum for public speaking, communication, and personal image. Students will acquire an understanding of principle-based decision making and the effects of peer pressure. Students will use problem-solving skills, principles of parenting, and goal-setting to prepare them to be more productive and effective family members and citizens.
