Technology Festival 2012
A record number of 3,802 attendees turned out for the third annual Cy-Fair Technology Festival held Jan. 26 at the Berry Center. The districtwide event spotlighted more than 1,000 student technology projects. Students used various technology tools to showcase their work done in the classroom during the first semester. Visitors were able to browse through stations of robotics, web animation, industrial technology, education and training, SmartBoards, video technology and much more.
A few special demonstrations included high school Roving Reporters who used Adobe Connect desktop video conferencing to roam the event, broadcasting live interviews and student project demonstrations into the Conference Center. Industrial technology high school
students demonstrated their laser engraving skills by offering visitors personalized key chains, and video technology provided the opportunity for attendees to experience “green screen” technology and video editing using a tricaster.
