“The boys and girls stepped it up and performed as best they could to get to the next tournament which is what was preached all week at practice,” said Mike White, Cypress Woods head coach. “I’m very proud that Cy Woods has four regional champions—a school record. Cy Woods is also bringing the most-ever wrestlers to the state tournament with eight qualifiers and alternates. I am also proud of the wrestlers that did not qualify for state as they had an exceptional tournament earning team points for the boys second-place team finish.”
