May 23, 2017—Approximately 75 fifth-grade students representing 13 CFISD campuses  participated in the Strike It Out Bowling Tournament on May 20 at Copperfield Bowling Center.

For several years, Copperfield Bowling Center has offered equipment for check-out to district campuses to use to teach an in-school bowling program. The Strike it Out tournament was a new opportunity in 2016-2017.

The Postma Elementary School team took the top honor at the event. The winning Pumas were Joey Congi, Ava Garcia, Aaron Duarte, Jonathan Quintero and Syed Suhaib Ali.

“We appreciate Mike Nelson and the Copperfield Bowling Center for their ongoing support of physical education,” said Loretta Bourn, elementary PE coordinator.
