The CFISD Community Programs Department operates several programs for students during outside-of-school hours. The programs are not part of the academic day and operate on the campuses in which they are offered. They are led by CFISD employees who are trained and attain the appropriate certifications for the programs assigned. The following lists the optional programs:
Club Rewind is an outside-of-school program offering before and after-school care at all elementary schools. In addition, Club Rewind offers after-school care at all middle schools and before-school care at select middle schools.
Club Rewind ROCKS is an opportunity to take enrichment classes in special topics at your child’s campus. Topics may include soccer, basketball or art. New classes are added, as faculty become available. Classes are taught at select campuses, also based upon the availability.
FLIP is the Foreign Language Immersion Program and provides opportunities for children to sign up for after-school language classes. Offerings may include French, Spanish, German and more! Classes are taught at select campuses, also based upon the availability.
Day-Camps are one day programs offered on specific days during the school year. They operate from 6:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at specific schools. Full and half day options are available. Camps are offered at one to six locations, depending on the schedule and enrollment. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided and children bring their lunch. All supplies and program materials are included in the camps, which are based upon holiday themes when appropriate.
