Substitute Paraprofessional Information

Have You Considered Working as a Paraprofessional Substitute?

Due to the rapid growth of the district and the support provided to students, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD seeks applicants who have a desire to assist students and staff members. We encourage any interested person who possesses a high school diploma or GED to consider applying for a paraprofessional substitute position. Click here to obtain additional information and application instructions.

• Qualifications are the same as for full-time paraprofessionals.

• Add “sub/paraprofessional” to the job category on your online application. The Substitute Office will accept references from a teacher or paraprofessional application.

• Complete the substitute online registration for “New Hire Substitute Orientation.” (See “Important Websites”)

• Attend and complete a 7-hour “New Hire Substitute Orientation” class. If you are an experienced paraprofessional, you only need to attend a 4-hour session.

• Many of our full-time paraprofessionals began as substitutes. Principals often consider reliable and talented substitutes when searching for full-time paraprofessionals.
