FIVE CFISD FOOTBALL PLAYERS RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Five high school athletes from the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District have been recognized for academic achievement as members of this year’s First or Second Academic All-State Football teams. Each of the following students was nominated for this outstanding honor by the campus coordinator at his respective high school.

First Team Academic All-State Football:

• Brandon Frederick – Langham Creek
• Ryan Stevens – Jersey Village

Second Team Academic All-State Football:

• Garrett Bredenkamp – Langham Creek
• Ryan Lehtinen – Langham Creek

Honorable Mention - Second Team Academic All-State Football:

• Timothy Hall – Cypress Springs

To be named to the All-State Academic team, student athletes must:

• have an overall grade point average of 92 or above in grades 9 through 12;
• be a member of the team in good standing at time of the nomination;
• be a senior in high school; and
• be of good moral character.
