Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Trustees honored Robert Dennison, teacher at Jersey Village High School, during the November 11 board meeting. Dennison was honored for being selected as one of three state finalists in the 2002 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) Program.
The PAEMST, sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), identifies outstanding mathematics and science teachers in each state. The 2002 PAEMST Awardees will be announced in March, 2003. Each Presidential Awardee will receive a $10,000 award from the NSF and will be invited to attend recognition events in Washington, D.C., during the week of March 18-21, 2003.
