
LANGHAM CREEK SENIORS HONORED IN NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Ten Langham Creek High School seniors have been named Semifinalists and 16 were honored as Commended Students in the 2003 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Semifinalists placed among the top 1% and Commended Students placed among the top 5% of more than one million students who entered the Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test during their junior year. Semifinalists will continue in the competition for approximately 8,000 Merit Scholarship awards, worth more than $30 million, to be offered next spring.
Langham Creek seniors named as Semifinalists are Megan Beesley, Megan Czepiel, Anna Garza, Annie Jong, Carly Knight, Patrick Kruse, Emily Martin, Erin Prante, James Tang and Jordan Wheeler. Commended Students are Patrick Allen, James Calcaben, Amanda Clauson, Lianne Collins, Ryan Holeywell, Zeena Husain, Paul Kutscha, Joshua Lynn, Colin McCulley, Alexander McPhail, Jonathan Menger, Ashley Messick, Michael Reina, Amanda Sollars, Andrew Stiles and Andrew Yen.
