The Board of Trustees of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District intends to file a wavier application with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) regarding the first day of instruction for the 2002-03 school year. The Board will request that CFISD be permitted to begin the school year Wednesday, August 14, 2002. Patrons will be able to offer comments regarding the school start date during a public forum scheduled for Tuesday, January 8, 2002, at 7 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Instructional Support Center, 10300 Jones Road.
