PUBLIC INVITED TO OFFER INPUT ON SAMPSON ELEMENTARY
ATTENDANCE BOUNDARY OPTIONS
Sampson Elementary, the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District’s 35th elementary school, will open in the Coles Crossing community with the start of the 2002-03 school year to provide enrollment relief for Ault, Farney and Lamkin elementary schools.
The administrative boundary committee has been meeting with the community advisory committee to discuss four attendance boundary options for Sampson that are now being presented to the public for review. These options may be viewed on the district’s web site, www.cfisd.net, or by visiting Ault, Farney or Lamkin.
Patrons are encouraged to offer comments or suggestions regarding the boundary options by writing a letter or posting their opinions on the district’s web site. Letters may be sent to: Planning and Research, 10300 Jones Road, Houston, TX, 77065. All public input will be copied and sent to members of the administrative boundary committee, the community advisory committee, the CFISD Board of Trustees, and the superintendent.
The advisory boundary committee will meet with the community advisory committee November 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Instructional Support Center, 10300 Jones Road, to hear comments on the attendance boundary recommendations that will be sent to the Board of Trustees. This meeting will be open to the public; however, patrons may not actively participate in the meeting.
The recommendations for the Sampson Elementary attendance boundaries are expected to be considered by the Board during their December 10 meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Instructional Support Center.
