CFISD SWIMMERS TOP DISTRICT MEET, READY FOR REGIONAL
High school varsity swim teams from Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District
claimed the top three spots in both boys' and girls' competition at the District
17-5A swim meet held January 26, 2002, at Cypress Springs High School.
The girls' district title was won by Langham Creek High School while the boys'
district title was won by Cypress Creek High School. Qualifying members of these
teams will advance to the regional swim meet scheduled for February 8-9, 2002,
in Austin.
Finishing in the top three girls' team rankings were:
1. Langham Creek- 109 points
2. Cypress Creek- 74 points
3. Cy-Fair- 45 points
In boys' competition, the top three teams were:
1. Cypress Creek- 132 points
2. Cypress Falls- 56 points
3. Cypress Springs- 40 points
