CYPRESS CREEK STUDENTS NAMED TO ALL-DISTRICT CHOIR

Twenty-seven Cypress Creek High School choir members have been chosen for the 2002 Texas Music Educators’ Association (TMEA) All-District Choir. The Cypress Creek students auditioned with 900 choir members from 35 other schools in the state to earn this honor. The competition was held on September 14 at Cypress Falls High School.

Those Cypress Creek High School students named to the TMEA All-District Choir are:

• Soprano I: Brittany Potter, Melissa Cavazos, Allie Cooper, Melanie Coyner, Jessie Richburg, Kate Soape;
• Soprano II: Sarah Tucker, Merry Atkinson;
• Alto I: Jessie Douglas, Lauren Everhart, Lauren Shreve;
• Alto II: Kristen Filloramo, Heather O’Brien, Brenna Fox, Christina Stover, Stephanie Patrick, Katie Krystyniak, Amy Sieffert;
• Tenor I: Jacob Qurashi;
• Tenor II: Seth Young, Steven Bigham, Lon Kostelac, Junior Linthicum;
• Bass I: Alex Dam;
• Bass II: James Nguyen, Patrick Frith, and Mark Parsons.

These students will advance to the next level of the TMEA Regional competition scheduled for October 26 at Mayde Creek High School. Cypress Creek High School choir directors are Sharon Paul and Melody McMullen.
