Fourteen high school government and economics students were recognized by Cypress-Fairbanks
Independent School District trustees for being chosen to participate in the
Board Shadowing Project. Each student sat with his or her designated Board member
or administrator throughout the course of the meeting to observe the democratic
process in action.
These students participating in the
project were Gauhar Hussain and Matt Jancaitis of Cypress Creek High School;
Mike Pelaez and Christen Parker of Cy-Fair High School; Jennifer Russell and
Mariana Vignolo of Cypress Falls High School; Lisa Reyes and Pamela Carrales
of Cypress Springs High School; David Deveau and Celso Hernandez of Jersey Village
High School; Lynsie Martinez and Steve Perry of Langham Creek High School; and
Jennifer Camarillo and Muhammaed Afkaim Niazi of Windfern High School.
