
JERSEY VILLAGE STUDENTS WIN AWARD IN HOUSTON’S YOUNG MOVIEMAKERS COMPETITION
Students in Jersey Village High School’s television program (JVTV) won an award in Houston’s Young Moviemakers 2003 competition and will be honored at a ceremony on April 13 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
The group of Grace Feigh, Laura Mardis and Leslie Mardis placed second in Narrative for "Doorway to Sanity."
Houston’s Young Moviemakers 2003 is a collaboration between the film department of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Women in Film and Television/Houston, and the Education Foundation of Harris County. The 30 winning films produced by Houston area elementary, middle and high school students will be shown during the awards presentation scheduled for April 13 at 2 p.m. in the museum’s Brown Auditorium Theater.
