UCTV STUDENTS CAPTURE HOUSTON’S YOUNG MOVIEMAKERS AWARD
United Cougar Television (UCTV) students from Cypress Creek High School won awards in Houston’s Young Moviemakers 2003 competition and will be honored at a ceremony on April 13 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
David Jacobson won first place for "A Day at the Races" in Animation while the group of Bobby Greenwood and Donny Hermes won first for "Something Random" in High School Music Video and Ryan Rios, Danielle LaMarche and Jenny Martin placed third in High School News with "What’s New at Creek."
Houston’s Young Moviemakers 2003 is a collaboration between the film department of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Women in Film and Television/Houston, and the Education Foundation of Harris County. The 30 winning films produced by Houston area elementary, middle and high school students will be shown during the awards presentation scheduled for April 13 at 2 p.m. in the museum’s Brown Auditorium Theater.
