Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Trustees honored Cypress Falls High School student Isaiah Broussard during the May 8 Board meeting. Broussard won first place in Student Congress at the Texas Forensic Association State Competition March 1 at Highland Park High School in Dallas.
The Texas Forensic Association (TFA) was formed as the qualifying agency for the National Forensic League National Tournament competitions in 1972 and the first state convention was held in Waco, Texas in 1973. Broussard is the fifth CFISD student to capture a state title in TFA competition and the first in Student Congress since the program’s inception.
