Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District trustees recognized 69 middle and high school students at the May 8 Board meeting for earning first or second place individual honors at this year's state Science Olympiad competition held at Texas A&M University.
First-place winners were Matea Trevino and Whitney Walker, Aragon M.S.; Jordan Miller, Morgan Muyskens and Laura Trujillo, Bleyl M.S.; Kristina Conroy, Goodson M.S.; Micheal Wilson, Goodson M.S./Cy-Fair H.S.; John Amstadt, Labay M.S./ Langham Creek H.S.; Tiffany Dao, Labay M.S.; Michael Gray, Po Wang and Jennifer Lai, Cypress Falls H.S.; Varunjot Chatha, Ankur Parikh, Arielle Braithwaite and Rashida Hassan, Cypress Springs H.S.; and Travis Horne, Patrick Kruse, Daniel Gonsalves Jonathan Menger, Christy Garza and David McMann, Langham Creek H.S.

Langham Creek placed second overall in team competition.
