Trustees Recognize Jersey Village High School Drill Team Director
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD trustees honored Jersey Village High School drill team director Betty Buchner during the June 9 Board meeting. Buchner was recently chosen as the recipient of the Texas Dance Educators Association Achievement Award and also received the Lifetime Honorary Member Award from the Drill Team Directors of America.
"Betty is not only an outstanding drill team instructor but she’s an excellent teacher. She works very hard with her students and parents to create an outstanding drill team. She’s made a lasting impact on students as many of her former students continue to come back and visit her and watch the drill team perform. She is worthy of all recognition she receives," said Ralph Funk, principal at Jersey Village.
