FOUR LANGHAM CREEK STUDENTS RECEIVE MILITARY ACADEMY APPOINTMENTS

 

Four recent Langham Creek High School graduates received appointments to prestigious Military Academies.
Russell Hromadka received his appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He demonstrated his leadership skills by being president of the National Honor Society and captain of the football team. He will major in engineering at the Naval Academy.

Jeremy McGown will also represent Langham Creek at the United States Naval Academy where he will be studying mechanical engineering and playing football. McGown distinguished himself at Langham Creek by being named captain of the football team and participating in basketball and track. He was a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the student leadership committee.

Grant Betz was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point. An Eagle Scout, Betz credits scouting with teaching him leadership skills. At Langham Creek he played football and was active in National Honor Society and Model United Nations.

Michael Tyler Gavis will represent Langham Creek at the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York where he will play basketball.
