ELEMENTARY STUDENT NAMED AS FINALIST IN
HOUSTON CHRONICLE CONTEST
Wilson Elementary second grader Tyler
Araguz was one of the six finalists in the recent Houston Chronicle Holiday
Design-a-Cover Contest. His artwork was chosen from more than 9,000 entries and
was published in the Sunday, December 14 special section “Letters to Santa” of
the Houston Chronicle. His art teacher is Lois Morton. “We are very proud
of Tyler,” said Sarah Sanders, art coordinator for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. “Students
from across the greater Houston area entered this contest and for him to be named
a finalist is a tribute to him and his teacher.”
