CFISD SENIORS NAMED NATIONAL MERIT FINALISTS

 

The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District had 40 students named finalists in the 2004 National Merit Scholarship Program. These students will continue to compete for approximately 8,000 Merit Scholarship awards, worth more than $32 million, to be offered this spring.

Finalists are among the top one percent of the more than 1.3 million students who entered the Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test during their junior year.

Named as finalists in the 2004 competition for Merit Scholarship awards were: Paul Heggeseth, Chris Javadi, Kathy Ko, Dominic Lowell, Elliot Sanchez, Krishanu Sengupta, Erin Sevitz, Tonia Wu and Sarah Wulf, Cy-Fair High School; Lindsay Aldrich, Peter Blackwell, Robin Blackwell, Alexander Dam, Laura Krumland, Patrick Lamb, Christopher Lee, Timothy Lei, Ross Lovelace, Audrey Sherrick and Amy Smith. Cypress Creek High School; Ladan Agharokh, Christopher Cha, Jacob Egner, Joo Hwang, Todd Lewandowski, Pamela Vo and Dake Weng, Cypress Falls High School; Jennifer Chen, Eileen Chon, Cindy Chou, Robert Dahnke, Jeremy Jones, Benjamin Kozy, Stacy Robertson and Jenifer Shiu, Jersey Village High School; Nerraj Agrawal, James Houghton, Jennifer Johnson, Aaron Markham and Stephanie Trinh, Langham Creek High School.
