Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Trustees honored Director Jed Ragsdale and Head Choir Director Cathy Wofford from the Langham Creek High School Men’s Varsity Choir during the March 8 formal board meeting.
The Langham Creek Men’s Choir performed at the Texas Music Educator’s Association (TMEA) Clinic and Convention in San Antonio in February. Choirs are selected to perform at TMEA through a recorded audition process. A panel of judges reviews the submitted recordings and selects choirs from each category to perform.
“It has been several years since a men’s choir has been selected to perform at the convention. This speaks very highly to the quality of the program at Langham Creek,” said Bill Quillen, director of secondary music. “We are very proud of the directors and all of the students involved.”
