Several Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District swimmers are in the fast lane to the state meet this weekend to compete for titles at the swimming and diving championships held at The University of Texas at Austin, February 25-26.
Representing CFISD at the state swimming and diving meet are: Cypress Creek relay teams in the girls’ 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard freestyle relay; Cy-Fair HS relay teams in the girls’ 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard freestyle relay; Jennifer Lamb, Cy-Fair, in the girls’ 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle; Jamie Williamson, Cy-Creek, in the girls’ 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke; Ashley Richter, Cy-Fair, in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle; Alex Basso, Cy-Creek, in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle; Sarah Bardwell, Cy-Fair, in the girls’ 500-yard freestyle; Kelly Smithwick, Cy-Creek, in the 500-yard freestyle; Rachel Edwards, Cy-Creek, in the 100-yard backstroke; the Jersey Village boys’ 400-yard freestyle relay team and Kyle Holland, Jersey Village, in the boys’ 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke.
