
February 20, 2006THREE TEAMS ADVANCE TO HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS
The regular season for boys basketball recently ended as three high school teams advance to the first round of District 17-5A basketball playoffs. As district champions, with a record of 29-4 overall and a district standing of 14-2, Cypress Falls High School received a “bye” for the first round of playoffs. Cypress Creek High School placed second with a 23-10 overall record and will play Stratford in the Bi-District round of playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at Seven Lakes High School. The district standing for the Cypress Creek Cougars is 14-2. Placing third with an overall 22-10 record, Cypress Springs High School will shoot for a win in the first round against Aldine Nimitz at Klein Forest High School at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21. The Panthers enter the first round with a 10-6 district standing. |
