March 3, 2006   LANGHAM CREEK DRILL TEAM GARNERS GRAND CHAMPION TITLE   The Langham Creek drill team, Bailadoras, captured the Grand Champion title of the 2006 Dance Regionals recently held at Klein High School and have headed to Orlando, Florida for the National Competition.   Earning highest honors at regionals in all categories for officer and team routines, the dancers delivered performances in tap, jazz, lyrical, and pom with officer lyrical and team pom tying for high-point awards. The Bailadoras received individual honors in the following categories of solo, duets, trios, small and large ensembles: The Senior Solo Finalists were Heidi Juergens, 2nd place; Katelyn Colburn, 3rd place; Kyle Santolini, 4th place; and Alyssa Garza, top ten. KellieBauknight placed in the top ten of the Junior Solo Finalist category. Duet winners were Heidi Juergens and Kyle Santolini, 1st place; Stacie Brunner and Kyle Santolini, 4th place; and Kim Wright and Heidi Juergens, 5th place. Trio winners were Katelyn Colburn, Alyssa Garza, and Jillian Robinson, 1st place; and Heidi Juergens, Hanah Langolf, and Lindsey Sullivan, 2nd place.   Winning in the Small Ensembles category were Katelyn Colburn, Talia Garza, Heidi Juergens,Kristin Roberts, and Jillian Robinson, 1st place; and Elizabeth Brosnahan, Channing Credeur, Taryn Goltzman, and Hilary Leahy, 4th place.   Large Ensembles winners were Companies A and C, 1st place; Company B, 2nd place; and Company D, 3rd place. The Bailadoras are under the direction of Mitzi Phillips and Monica Vaesa and have won multiple Grand Champion titles in the past years.
