“Take Our Child to Work Day”
Set for June 9, 2006
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, in partnership with other Houston area school districts, will participate in “Take Our Child to Work Day” on Friday, June 9, 2006. Because of the district’s agreement to participate in this manner, students will not be excused from school to participate in the national “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” scheduled for April 27.
Many businesses are in support of the change as it allows the employers and employees to determine the level of participation that is appropriate for business owners and their employees’ children. By scheduling this activity in June, it will not interfere with a regular instructional school day, which is very important to the education of our students. |
