TEXANS WIDE
RECEIVER TO VISIT KEITH ELEMENTARY
Andre Johnson, wide
receiver for the Houston Texans, will visit Keith Elementary, 20550 Fairfield
Green Blvd in Cypress, Tuesday, May 2 from 1:30-2:30
p.m.
Johnson will visit the Keith students and staff to promote healthy nutrition
and the importance of drinking milk. He will sport a milk mustache and
will teach the students the importance of how including three servings
of dairy a day in their diets, in addition to physical activity, will
help them develop stronger bones and a healthy lifestyle. Students will
learn that when they put good energy into their bodies, they get good
energy out.
The USDA reports that only 2 percent of today’s youth get an adequate
number of servings from all food groups, and only 30 percent of school
children consume the recommended servings from the dairy group. The combination
of regular physical activity plus three calcium-rich servings of dairy
a day will help build stronger bones to last a lifetime. |
