CFISD TO HOST SPECIAL MEETING FOR VIETNAMESE PARENTS

A special meeting will be held for parents of Vietnamese students in CFISD on Friday, April 21 from 7-9 p.m. at Hairgrove Elementary School, 7120 North Eldridge Parkway.

The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the following:

  • How to communicate with your children so that they will listen to you.
  • How to help your children handle troubles in their lives.
  • How to deal with the “stubborn” child or the child with attention difficulties.
  • How to assimilate the difference between the Vietnamese and American cultures to produce better results in the way you educate and discipline your children.
  • How to access information from school to help your children.

The keynote speaker will be expert Dr. Hanh Vo, a Vietnamese therapist and psychologist who will speak on effective ways to raise children.

“We realize that with the busy daily workload and the responsibility in educating our children, each and every one of us has been looking for the best ways to raise our children,” said Sadie Woodard, assistant superintendent for guidance and counseling.

Babysitting service will be provided. For more information, please contact Woodard at 281-897-4054 or Thuy Truong at 832-275-9278.
