Cy-Fair and Langham Creek make another playoff sweep The Langham Creek Lobos took the series against Elkins 2-0. In two close games, the Lobos outscored Elkins by one run earning a 3-2 victory in game one and a 6-5 victory in game two. Langham Creek is scheduled to play Katy in the best two out of three series beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 at Langham Creek High School. The second game will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 19 at Katy High School; and the third game, if necessary, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at Seven Lakes High School in Katy. The Cy-Fair Bobcats also dominated their series 2-0 by defeating Cinco Ranch. The Bobcats took charge on the field by winning 6-3 in game one and 9-6 in game two. Cy-Fair will challenge Tomball in the next round of playoffs in the best two out of three games starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 at Tomball High School. The second game will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 19 at Cy-Fair High School. A final game will be played on Saturday, May 20 at 1 p.m. at Blinn Jr. College, if necessary. Lady Bobcats defeated by Katy in softball playoffs The Cy-Fair Lady Bobcats lost the third and final game of the three-game series and were eliminated from the softball playoffs by Katy. The Lady Bobcats ended their season as Region Quarterfinal Champions. |
