June 7, 2006SEMINAR TO OFFER INFORMATION ON DOING BUSINESS WITH CFISD
A free seminar on “How to Do Business with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD” will be presented from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, 2006 at the Berry Center, 8877 Barker Cypress, Cypress, TX 77433. This presentation will provide an opportunity for any individual or business to learn more about the guidelines and procedures of selling products or services to the school district. Those planning to attend are asked to make reservations in advance. Presenters for the seminar will be George Hobson, CFISD associate superintendent for business services, and Colleen Wells, the district’s assistant superintendent for support services. Among the topics that will be addressed are legal issues of public purchasing and how to enter the bid process. The seminar will also provide an opportunity for vendors to meet members of CFISD’s business and purchasing staff. The morning will begin at 7:30 a.m. to allow time for networking with other attendees. Presentations will be made from 8 to 9:30 a.m. The seminar is sponsored by the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District and the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce.
