June 2, 2006 LANGHAM CREEK HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVES A ‘GRAMMY’ HONOR   Langham Creek High School was named a 2006 Grammy Signature School for the fourth consecutive year. The Langham Creek High School band, choir and orchestra departments received recognition from The Grammy Foundation. The Grammy Signature Schools program honors public high school music programs that promote and preserve music education as a key part of their curriculum. Langham Creek High School was selected from more than 20,000 entries nationwide for Grammy Signature School status. One hundred finalists were selected from the initial applicants and 42 received the Signature School recognition . Selection was based on a submitted audio recording that was judged by a distinguished panel of music industry and education professionals. Under the leadership of Scott McAdow, band director, Gloria Ramirez, associate band director, and Jimmy LaBrecque, assistant band director, the Langham Creek band was an integral part in recognizing the school’s music curriculum for Grammy Signature school status.
