Langham Creek art students chosen for advanced art program
April 10, 2007 —Two Langham Creek High School art students were selected to attend the Advanced Curriculum for Teens (ACT) Glassell School of Art beginning next fall.
Langham Creek sophomores Deverin Hayes and Quindeel Butt were among the limited group of students accepted into the prestigious ACT Glassell program, in which fewer than 15 students are chosen each year to receive specialized training through the Museum of Fine Arts Houston for the remainder of their high school careers.
“I’m very happy for Deverin and Quindeel,” said Langham Creek art teacher Laura Nelson. “I know they will make our Cy-Fair family very proud of them.”
