Francone teacher wins SHSU alumni award
May 23, 2007 — Francone Elementary School bilingual kindergarten teacher Jane Ann Brown was recently recognized as the 2007 Distinguished Elementary Teacher by the Sam Houston State University (SHSU) College of Education during a ceremony on March 3.
“Jane Ann Brown is the type of teacher that every child deserves,” said Sue Romanowsky, Francone principal. “Her classroom is always energizing and full of active student involvement. Jane Ann is positive and child-centered, and it is always a wonderful experience to walk into her classroom. With her attitude and enthusiasm, it is no wonder that her bilingual students are so successful.”
