June 11, 2007—CFISD Board of Trustees approved the 2007-2008 salary increases, as recommended by the administration and based on information received by Deloitte Consulting, during its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday. The district contracted with Deloitte Consulting to conduct an in-depth study and review of the salary schedule and compensation plan for all CFISD employees. The salary study included a review and comparison of the district’s 2006-2007 pay structures to all available market data, including surrounding school districts.

Beginning teachers and nurses will start at $42,000, while veteran teachers and nurses will receive a salary increase of at least $1,600 according to years of experience.

Paraprofessional and hourly staff will receive between a 3- and 5-percent increase based on their new pay structure midpoint.
Professional staff will receive a 4-percent increase of the new pay structure midpoint.
