June 14, 2007—Cypress Woods High School student Anthony Villamagna was selected as the Outstanding Male Ambassador of the Hugh O’Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Conference held at Rice University on June 1-3.

Villamagna was one of 200 students from Texas who attended the conference. He will represent CFISD and the Texas Gulf Coast at the HOBY World Leadership Congress in Washington, D.C. on July 19-27.

Founded in 1958, HOBY’s mission is to provide lifelong leadership development opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their highest potential. HOBY programs provide youth selected by their schools to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences.
