August 7, 2007—ESPN (Ch. 33 on Comcast Cable) will air coverage of the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) World Championships on Friday, Aug. 17 at noon. Students from Sampson and Hamilton elementary schools and Goodson Middle School set nine world records at the event, which was originally held on April 13-15 in Denver, Colo.
CFISD students who will receive considerable on-screen time are: Connor Byrd, Sampson, kindergarten; Josiah McWhorter, Hamilton, kindergarten; Trevor Van Atta, Sampson, first grade; Zachary Thornton, Sampson, fourth grade; Lauren Hymel, Sampson, fifth grade; Kaelea Butterfield, Goodson, sixth grade; Collin Marshall, Goodson, sixth grade; and Ben Skipworth, Goodson, sixth grade.
