August 30, 2007—The Cy-Fair High School football team’s opening game of the 2007 season will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Net Southwest, Ch. 37 on Comcast Cable.

Cy-Fair and Stratford will meet in their season opener at 7 p.m. tonight at Tully Stadium (1050 Dairy Ashford St.).

Cy-Fair defeated Stratford 21-6 in their Sept. 2 meeting last season. This year’s game is receiving much attention because of the presence of two marquee players: Cy-Fair running back Sam McGuffie (3,121 yards and 43 touchdowns in 2006), a University of Michigan commitment, and Stratford quarterback Andrew Luck (2,909 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2006), a Stanford University commitment.

Tickets are $5 per person at the gate starting at 5 p.m., and the gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
