September 14, 2007 —The Houston Texans named Cypress Falls High School football coach David Raffield the 5A Coach of the Week Award on Tuesday, following the Golden Eagles’ 47-45 victory over No. 6 state-ranked Spring Westfield on Sept. 7.

Cypress Falls High School received a $500 grant in Raffield’s name for winning the award. Raffield will also be recognized on HoustonTexans.com and NFLHS.com, and on the video board at Reliant Stadium. He will be invited to the Texans vs. New Orleans Saints game on Nov. 18 and will be recognized at the Texans High School Coach of the Year Banquet following the season.
