October 15, 2007 —Thirteen CFISD athletes and one coach were named to the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) Water Polo Boys and Girls All-Region IV teams.

Cypress Creek High School head coach Jeff Chandler was named the Boys Co-Coach of the Year. Cypress Creek athletes Cameron Hudson, senior,and Jackson Gould, junior, were named to the Boys First Team, while Alex Harris, senior; Stephen Conrad, senior;and Nathan Bean, freshman, made the Boys Second Team.

Also representing the district on the Boys Second Team were Andrew Keily, junior, Langham Creek High School; and Eric Doyle, sophomore, Cy-Fair High School.

On the girls’ side, Cypress Creek athletes Abigail Edwards, senior; Assaundra Harris, junior; and Jessica Bean, senior; made the Girls First Team .

Other CFISD athletes on the Girls Second Team were Ashley Hanigan, senior, Langham Creek High School; Sarah Armel, senior, Jersey Village High School; and Jennie Heinze, junior, Cy-Fair High School.

By both placing second in Region IV, the Cypress Creek boys and girls teams will advance to the TISCA state tournament in Austin from Oct. 18-20. Cypress Creek will host the tournament.
