October 24, 2007 — The Cy-Fair, Cypress Woods, Cypress Falls and Langham Creek high school volleyball teams completed the regular season with the top four records in District 17-5A to qualify for the postseason. The Class 5A Region III bi-district playoffs will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

The playoff schedule is as follows:

• Cy-Fair, the first-place team in District 17-5A, will face Alief Elsik at Seven Lakes High School (9251 South Fry Road, Katy) at 7 p.m.;
• Cypress Woods, the second place team in 17-5A, will play Katy Taylor at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road) at 7 p.m.;
• Cypress Falls, the third-place district finisher, will compete against Katy at Cypress Springs High School (7909 Fry Road) at 6 p.m.; and
• Langham Creek, the fourth-place qualifier, will square off with Cinco Ranch at the Berry Center at 5 p.m.
