November 5, 2007 — Langham Creek High School senior Nicole Peters and Cypress Falls High School sophomore Jordan Hopper both qualified for the UIL Class 5A Cross Country State Championships for their top 10 finishes at the Region III Championships, held at North Harris County College on Saturday.

Peters, who won the district title, placed fifth in the regional meet with a time of 11:12.00. Hopper, the district runner-up, placed ninth in the region with a time of 11:25.00.

The state championships will be held on Saturday at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock.
