November 12, 2007 — Three CFISD football teams have qualified for the postseason and will compete in the Bi-District round of the UIL playoffs this weekend.
Cypress Ridge High School , the District 17-5A champion, finished 9-1 overall and 7-0 in district. The Rams will face Alief Elsik in the Class 5A Division I playoffs at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).
Cypress Falls High School , the 17-5A runner-up, finished 8-2 overall and 6-1 in district. The Eagles will play Mayde Creek in the 5A Division II playoffs at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Rhodes Stadium (1733 Katy Fort Bend Road) in Katy.
Cy-Fair High School , the fourth-place team in 17-5A, finished 6-4 overall and 4-3 in district. The Bobcats will play Cinco Ranch in the 5A Division I playoffs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Berry Center.
